Welcome back! The YES-kids have started their 'painting with acrylics' project. It's once again a lesson on one-point perspective. In honor of Halloween, the kids have incorporated some spooky items into their paintings. Great job! These pics are 'in progress' shots. Finished art will be shown soon.

Pastels and one-point perspective.

With three projects behind them, the YESkids are on to another one... Pastels have been known to be a favorite medium. Hmmm, could it be because it's kind of messy... okay, really messy?! And they get to wipe their hands on their paint shirts, so no worries? Maaybee...

Anyhoo, here are some pictures of the process and results. In this lesson, they learned more about one-point perspective. It's a scene beside a river with a tree and a distant treeline and sky.
Working on their pastel project... they are loving it!

Braydon is finished.. good colors!

Nice work, Brooke!

Perspective is good, Jordyn!

Kane is still at work on his pastel piece.

Next on the roster for art class is a project using acrylic paints. They will begin that one today. Pictures will be added as students finish their projects.

The YESkids are loving their new home at Highland Presbyterian Church. The church members have welcomed us into their room to have classes. Thanks so much to Billy, the pastor of Highland Church and the members!
